THE EVENT

Set in North Wiltshire, 4 miles from Chippenham and Junction 17 of the M4 this annual music festival is held in the Village Recreation Ground.

This event is organised by The Christian Malford Community Charity Reg 1207745 and run entirely by volunteers. Any funds raised going back into the local community.

This year, we will be supporting the very special ‘Fatboys Children with Cancer Charity’ again, a charity who provides Christmas presents to children suffering with cancer across the UK.

This is now our 6th year of summer music events. Following the amazing successes of previous years with The Wurzels, Queen, ABBA, Take That and Bon Giovi, we are taking this fantastic event a ‘Step’ further…. ‘Madness’ we hear you say!

We also have 3 incredibly talented support bands who will entertain you before you party the night away with two of the UK’s top tribute bands, ‘The Steps Experience’ and ‘Badness’, the ultimate Madness tribute act.

You’re guaranteed excellent music, an incredible atmosphere, a wide range of deliciously tasty food and a well-stocked, sensibly priced bar.

SUPPORT ACTS

Bailey Upton

Last year we wanted to give the opportunity of performing on a big stage, with professional sound and lighting and an amazing crowd, to a young and upcoming local talent. Bailey Upton from Chippenham was a superb opening to last year’s event and following the amazing feedback from his performance, we’re delighted to give Bailey his 2nd appearance at Christian Malford. Bailey can often be seen busking in Bath; he’s a truly great talent who we know will get us all in the mood for a superb day.

Zac Ware

Zac is an international touring musician, performing with The Proclaimers since 2005. He has 6 studio albums and 6 world tours under his belt, having performed in countries including the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Stand out performances include two sold-out nights at Edinburgh Castle, opening the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage and Live 8 at Murrayfield Stadium. A one-man guitar jukebox with over 160 songs, Zac is a truly amazing talent and, better still, you get to choose what he plays! A great interactive night with a wide and wild selection of classic tunes is yours for the taking.

A Bottle of Dog

We’re delighted to welcome a 3 piece indie rock band from Chippenham, another local band who have yet to play at the Malford Music Festival. What all started as a one-off gig has spiralled, with more then 200 performances so far! Combining the 70’s classic rock and punk sounds with modern day indie, they’re sure to provide a great atmosphere.

The Steps Experience

Badness

The one and only Badness, a Madness Tribute band, was formed in 1994 and have been a market leader in the tribute and Ska scene ever since. With their energetic show and talented frontman, you know you’re in for a good night.

The Stage Says: “There aren’t many tribute bands better than Badness. Their lead Suggs is perfect, the whole band musically tight and loud and all great musicians. They do Ska, Bad Manners et al too, as well as the Nutty Boys, so have an extensive range of material they can call on”. Be prepared to have a ‘Crazy Night’ with Badness….

For small kids, there will be the usual variety of fairground attractions and bouncy castles and ‘Win a Prize’ stalls for the small ones.

We also have Amelia ‘@ameliaflows’, an amazingly talented performer who will be walking amongst you on high stilts. Be prepared for some mind-boggling LED hula-hoop spinning and fire dancing performing!
